Finders Keepers, Losers Sleepers

The Finders is another one of those new age cults whose history dates back to the late-1960s. Yes, starting cults was quite the "thang" back then. The thing is, there are a ton of them out there--more than most of you might realize. Of course, not every self-proclaimed group is necessarily a cult.

Reclaiming the Innocents

Childhood is deemed by our society to be the age of innocence--free from the adult burdens of working to meet physical and psychological needs. Optimistically, a child need not worry about whether they will have shelter, where their next meal will come from, whether or not they are loved. Or safe, for that matter.

On Tuesday, October 3, 2006, Northview public school parents received a letter from Superintendent Michael Stearns warning them of "an aggressive sexual predator and pedophile." From news reports, the man in question is not a registered sex offender, nor has he ever been arrested for a sex offense.

Trenton Duckett was born to Melinda Eubank in Eutis, Florida on Tuesday, August 10, 2004. Eight months later, on Monday, April 6, 2005, Joshua Duckett began filing child abuse complaints with the Bushnell police department. The Department of Children & Family services found Mr. Ducketts complaints to be without merit.

When I began researching the Midwest drownings in May, I was admittedly doubtful of the serial killer angle. Although 43 men had gone missing or drowned in the past decade, alcohol seemed the logical explanation. Nonetheless, this angle was worth exploring. Even if only due to the alleged concentration of missing or drowned men around Corridor 94.
