Kindreds and tongues and nations
Offer fruitful ways to be against,
Because this self-possessed loner
Nitpicks any difference sensed.

Though defiant from the beginning
And rebellious to the end,
Such may be selectively compliant
And use sweet words to commend.

This so-called poem picks-up where Poe's "The Haunted Palace" left off ... the tortured pains are the eyes and the pathways are neural ... the emitted and evoked turbulences of acute psychosis.
