Our team was recently contacted to consult on a case involving the murders of eight women in a small town in Jefferson Davis Parish, Louisiana. Murders that some feel are the work of a serial killer. While following up on the information provided, we have also been perusing the JDP Killer Blog, where we happened upon a poignant story that must be told.

Just my take on some of the posts related to the motive, method, and opportunity of school shooters and such. On Thursday, February 14, 2008, an individual dressed in black burst into a Northern Illinois University (NIU) lecture auditorium, injuring 17 and leaving 5 dead, before taking his own life. In the early Monday morning hours of April 16, 2007, 23-year-old Seung-Hui Cho went on what purports to be the second bloodiest school massacre in the history of this nation, and topping the most well-known school shooter, 25-year-old Charles Whitman. When I began researching the Midwest drownings in May, I was admittedly doubtful of the serial killer angle. Although 43 men had gone missing or drowned in the past decade, alcohol seemed the logical explanation. Nonetheless, this angle was worth exploring. Even if only due to the alleged concentration of missing or drowned men around Corridor 94.
